Boise

Today I thought we were just going to have a relaxing day, not be in the car so much. Little did I know we would be gone all day.
We went to breakfast at Moe Joe's in Meridian. Really good food. From there we came back to meet Marianne so we could all go together to the Warhawk Air Museum. None of them had been before. They needed tourists to come to see different places in Boise.

You could spend days in this place. So much to see, all organized by wars. Planes, old radios, guns on display, uniforms, booklets, posters, etc. Really neat place.

Here's Fred in front of the plane he flew in Vietnam (EC-47, the old DC3).

After here, we went to D & B Supply, a farm store but had cute jewelry & clothes. This trailer pulled up & 2017 Idaho Rodeo Queen got out. Mom got a picture of her. Her name is Hunter Rae Rackham

Next on our day we went and saw Boise State University and saw the huge stadium (well from outside the gates).

Fred wanted us to see the blue turf! This is about as good as I could get!
All I know is that every year Boise State always beats Fresno State in football! Boo!

Next we went through a few parks. Beautiful green lawn, fountains & lots of trees.

I wanted to go in Julia Davis' park for the Abe Lincoln statue.

After this we drove to some other areas of Boise to check it out. Some cute older homes, big houses but on a busy street. Warm Springs St.

I kind of stopped taking pictures after this, but we saw all parts of Boise. Downtown, the Scentsy headquarters (which was established in Boise), all over town. We even drove back to D & B to see if the Rodeo Queen was still there to get her autograph, but she was already gone.

I didn't realize Boise was so spread out! With greenbelts everywhere to ride your bike, walk, run, etc., lots of restaurants, and they are booming right now! Lots of construction everywhere and Fred & Carolyn said they don't know what is bringing so many people to Boise. They are building new apartments everywhere!

We were going to go to the Village for dinner, but decided just to stay here and eat to save time. We need to pack up our car and get our stuff ready to head out tomorrow. I think the heat is affecting me, I'm so tired. Although we did get home late last night and I stayed up late too.
